Katy Davis completed her Bachelors at Western Illinois University, where she majored in Psychology and minored in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration. Katy then attended graduate school at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where she completed her Masters and Doctorate in Psychology. She was initially interested in forensic work, and conducted neuropsychological testing at a state hospital. However, Katy realized that her true calling was to work with children and adolescents.
She then worked in a therapeutic day school in Illinois for three years before moving west (to Idaho) to work with Center for Excellence. Katy loves working with teens and their families. Katy also manages psychological testing for the company. Doing most of her work recently in an emotional growth boarding school environment has allowed her to combine her love of the outdoors with her passion for the challenging emotional work of helping students and their families. She believes in nature's ability to teach all of us how to live our lives with beauty and simplicity.
Katy grew up in Woodstock, Illinois, and lived in Illinois for most of her life. She has been married for over 5 years. She loves the outdoors and exercise. Katy is an avid runner and has run in four different marathons and countless 5 & 10K road races. Since moving to Idaho, she has become very active in riding and training horses, and has great appreciation and respect for them.
